Instructions for ironing on patches

1. Thoroughly clean and dry garment (or any other piece of natural fabric), and iron the application area.
2. Turn on iron to “cotton” setting, with steam off, and no water in the iron.
3. Place the garment on an ironing board, and put the patch on the item, in the desired location.
4. Place a scrap piece of 100% natural fiber fabric on top of the patch. 
5. Once iron is properly heated, press down firmly on the scrap fabric that is on top of the patch, for 30 seconds. Do not move iron or use any motion.
6. Turn the fabric over and press down with the iron for another 30 seconds to fuse the patch from the back of the fabric.
7. Leave for several minutes to cool.
8. If the patch is not secured on all edges, repeat step 6
9. Even though the patch should stay firmly after being ironed on, we recommend that patches be sewn on as well.

Instructions de repassage

1. Bien laver, sécher le vêtement (ou tout tissu de fibres naturelles) puis repasser la surface où sera appliqué le drapeau.
2. Régler le fer à « coton », pour repasser à sec (réservoir vide).
3. Le vêtement étant étendu sur une planche à repasser, poser le drapeau à l’endroit désiré.
4. Recouvrir le drapeau d’une chute de tissu 100% fibres naturelles.
5. Lorsque le fer est chaud, le presser fermement sur la chute pendant 30 secondes. Ne pas remuer le fer ou bouger.
6. Retourner l’étoffe et appuyer pendant 30 secondes de plus pour faire coller le drapeau de l’envers de l’étoffe.
7. Laisser refroidir quelques minutes.
8. Si l’adhésion n’est pas parfaite sur tout le pourtour, répéter l’étape 6.
9. Bien que le drapeau thermocollant soit prévu rester solidement en place après son repassage, mieux vaut également le coudre.
