Lights your lantern in wind, rain, darkness – without matches. Attaches to most popular makes of gas lanterns and uses ordinary lighter flints.
This lighter can be used on most instant lighting gasoline, propane or
butane lanterns. Always install so the lighter can be pushed up towards
the mantles when lighting and drawn away from the mantles when lantern
is burning.
To Operate Lighter: Push lighter up towards the mantle. Follow manufactures’ instructions before lighting the lantern. Rolling thumb counter clockwise on knurled knob generates sparks on the striker wheel. These sparks will instantly ignite lantern. Once lit PULL DOWN KNOB.
Installation without Bracket: On some older models, the lighter can be installed through the match hole without the bracket. The two hex nuts will hold the lighter firmly on the frame of the lantern.
Installation with Bracket: On some lanterns the bracket can be used. Loosen hex nuts and rotate flint magazine section 90° so when the lighter is installed on the lantern the flint magazine points towards the globe rather than base of the lantern. Tighten hex nuts. Attach bracket with lighter to the center threaded post of lantern in a manner that lighter will move up and down freely though the match hole.
