(May 01, 2008, Winnipeg, MB) - New for the 2008 summer camping season, Coghlan’s introduces the 0841 0.5 Watt LED Headlight and the 0843 LED Clip-on Headlight to its extensive line of camping and outdoor accessories. Designed to be hands-free light sources, Coghlan’s new Headlights strap comfortably and lightly around the head or clip on to apparel and gear to provide a focused beam of light.
The 0.5 Watt LED Headlight provides a direct, unfaltering beam of light for 9.5 hours at a time while the emergency strobe feature flashes up to 33 hours. Weighing 4.2 oz. with batteries, the 0.5 Watt Headlight has an output of 20 lumens and uses a Nichia bulb. With a DCDC regulator to maintain maximum light exposure throughout the entire battery charge, the 0841 straps easily and comfortably around the head for convenient illumination.
The 0483 LED Clip-on Headlight can be worn around the head or clipped onto clothes and gear; complete with a red filter flip feature providing functional night vision. The Nichia 5mm white LED bulb has an output of 3.5 lumens and batteries capable of shining continuously for 25 hours or on emergency strobe for 50 hours. With two lithium batteries, the LED Clip-on Headlight weighs a light 1.3oz.
